The Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection recently launched, bringing a treasure trove of content, albeit with initial bugs. Developers at Digital Eclipse have been actively patching the game to enhance player experience.

A significant update for the PlayStation version aimed to reduce input lag, a critical concern for competitive players. Latency expert Nigel ‘Noodalls’ Woodall’s tests revealed that the PS5 version initially suffered from 101 ms of input delay, translating to 6.3 frames, which was notably higher than the Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and especially PC.

Following patches, the lag decreased to 67.15 ms (4.2 frames), bringing it closer to average latency. The PS5 now nearly matches the Nintendo Switch 2, while the Xbox remains superior at 44.2 ms. Meanwhile, PC boasts the fastest response, clocking in at a mere 18.35 ms. While progress has been made, there is still room for improvement as Digital Eclipse continues development, including enhancing multiplayer features.
