Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection has launched to a wave of critical acclaim, yet many players are feeling dissatisfied. Digital Eclipse has issued a hotfix aimed at reducing input lag for PlayStation users; however, improvements have not met expectations.
Initial tests revealed alarming input delays for the PlayStation 4 and PS5, clocking in at 101 ms, translating to approximately 6.3 frames of lag. This significantly overshadowed the Xbox Series X, which reported just 44 ms, and the PC version, which achieved a remarkable 18.35 ms. Even Nintendo Switch 2 owners experienced higher latency, averaging 66.25 ms.
Following the update, the lag on PlayStation showed minimal reduction, with new measurements at around 83.42 ms—still nearly double that of the Xbox. Reports indicate that Sony is even offering refunds for the Kollection, a rare move hinting at widespread player discontent. Developers continue to address issues with upcoming updates, promising a smoother experience in the future.
