The future of Mortal Kombat is filled with anticipation as Digital Eclipse prepares to unveil the groundbreaking Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, the most extensive compilation in franchise history.

In an interview at Evo 2025, Stephen Frost, Head of Production, revealed that the team is meticulously emulating various classic hardware to bring fans an authentic experience from iconic systems such as the arcade, SNES, and Game Boy. This Kollection not only aims to celebrate the series’ history but also delves deeper with over three hours of new documentary footage, featuring interviews with original creators and character actors.

Excitingly, Mortal Kombat Trilogy is confirmed to be part of this collection, while discussions are underway for additional titles, potentially including fan favorites. Though the release date remains unannounced, leaks suggest a debut could happen as early as September.
